GENERAL THESISES ON “SCIENTIFIC WORKS” PERIODICAL OF SHIRAK CENTER FOR ARMENOLOGICAL STUDIES NAS RA

1.1 The procedure for publication of the "Scientific Works" periodical (hereinafter: SW) of the "Shirak Center for Armenological Research of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia" (hereinafter: Center) defines  the  acceptance, review and publication of papers.
1.2 The founder of the Center's SW periodical is the Scientific Council of the Center for Armenological Studies of NAS Shirak. The periodical was first published in 1998.
1.3 The SW periodical  is one of the journals in the field of Armenian and Social studies; it is published with 2-3 numbers a year, each with up to 13 prints,  press volume.
1.4 The SW periodical is included in the list of journals approved by RA Supreme Certifying Commission.
1.5 The articles, reviews and other sources published in the SW periodical of the Center express the approaches of the authors, which may not coincide with the approaches of the Editorial Board. The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Editorial Board of the National Academy of Sciences (hereinafter: Board) do not bear any legal responsibility for the errors and omissions, as well as for the views of the authors.
1.6 The Council of the SW periodical of the Center is approved by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Center. Currently, it consists of 30 members, is headed up by the editor-in-chief, comprising the deputy editor, the responsible secretary, researchers from the Center with PhD or Doctorate degrees, as well as  honoured and distinguished academics from NAS RA and from local and foreign universities.
1.7 The SW periodical publishes scientific articles, publications, reviews, and in separate cases, by the decision of the editors, also authentic memoirs, debates, anniversaries, obituaries, scientific newsletters.
1.8 The SW periodical accepts articles 2-3 times a year according to the editorial board's request for article acceptance, which is published on the Centre's official website (www.shirakcenter.sci.am), on the Centre's Facebook page, and on the journal's website (www.shiraksciworks.sci).
1.9 Presenters, scientists, professors, teachers, post-graduate students of Armenian studies and social sciences, various spheres of public life can submit materials to publication in the periodical.
1.10 In 15 days, the work handed over to the editor goes to the stage of technical inspection. The editorial office accepts the submitted materials only if they meet the thematic, qualitative and technical requirements of the publication, reserving the right to immediately reject the acceptance of the material if it does not meet the requirements of the periodical.
1.11 The SW editorial office sends the accepted work and the review form (see appendix 2) to an external review by the editor's letter, ensuring the two-way confidentiality of the review process. Based on the results of the review, the editorial office makes a decision to publish or reject the material.
1.12 The publication of papers in  SW periodical is free of charge.
