GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING PAPERS TO ''SCIENTIFIC WORKS''

The submitted article for the ''Scientific Work'' periodical  of  Shirak Center for Armenological Studies of NAS RA should meet the following requirements:

1. The articles submitted should be in Armenian, English or Russian; the Armenian text «Sylfaen Unicode», English and Russian texts «Times New Ro­man», font size: 12pt, line spacing 1.5 pt,  Page Size: A4, portrait; margins: 2 cm from the top, right, left and buttom.:
2. The length of the article is up to 35,000 characters, including punctuation marks and spaces (a larger volume is only at the discretion of the editors).:
3. On the first line, from the left size, give UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) code: ՀՏԴ (for the Armenian paper),  UDC (for the English paper) and  УДК (for the Russian paper):
4. The title should be introduced uppercase, centered, bold.
5. The author's first name, surname should be written after the title of the paper, on the next line-the work place and country (centered, bold).
6. Indent the abstract of the paper (up to 200 words) in the written language. In the case of an Eng­lish or Russian article, the Armenian summary is not mandatory
7. Leave one single-spaced blank line to present the key words (attaching 7-10 key words or expressions) font size:10, two-sides.
8. On the next line, provide the footnote. For instance,

Ինչպես հղել.ԱկոպովԱ., Բերդագրակիգավառիբնակչությանազգայինկազմը XVI-XVIII   դդ. // ԳԱԱՇՀՀԿենտրոնի «Գիտականաշխատություններ»: Գյումրի, 2023: Հ. 1(26): (Խմբագրությանկողմիցկավելացվեննաևէջերնու DOI համարանիշը), 10  տառաչափով:

9. On the next line, give the title of the paper in English-UPPERCASE, bold, centered. Give the author’(s) name, surname (bold), affiliation, country. Center all these.
10. Indent the abstract of the paper up to 150-200 words; from a new line provide the key words in English, font 10.
11. On the next line provide the footnote in English, for example,

12. After the English reference cited, provide the Russian title: UPPERCASE, bold, centered. Give the author’(s) name, surname (bold), affiliation, country. Center all these.
13. Indent the annotation of the paper up to 150-200 words; from a new line provide the key words in English, font 10, two-sided.
14. Give the reference cited in the Russian language. For example,
Цитирование. Акопов А., Этнический состав Бердагракской провинции в XVI-XVIII веках. “Научные труды” ШЦАИ НАН РА. Гюмри, 2023. T. 1(26). (Pages and DOI numbers will will be provided by the editorial staff), font 10.
15. Write the summary clearly, free of secondary information. The summary should consist of the following parts: IntroductionMethods and materials, Analysis, Results. If the article has more than one author, then indicate the contribution of each separately (Authors contribution in English, Вклад авторов in Russian).
16. After 1 omitted line, present the Introduction (the term: lowercase, bold): analysis of literature within the scope of the article theme, statement of the purpose of the work, justification of modernity and novelty,: lining: two-way, direct.
17. From the next line, provide  the main text of the article, which expresses its main content, which can be divided into chapters or sub-chapters, lining: two-sided, direct.
18. After the main text, present the Conclusion within 200 words (the term: lowercase and bold), including the main results obtained in the work, lining two-sided, direct.
19. After the conclusion, present the list of literature in the original language, in alphabetical order according to the Vancouver Citing & Referencing style, first the Armenian, then Latin and Slavic literature. Font size: 12, line spacing: 1.5. The elements of the list of literature should be presented according to the following examples:
Monographs:
1. Աղայան Է. Ընդհանուր և հայկական բառագիտություն: Երևան: ԵՊՀ հրատ.: 1984: 370 էջ:
2. Walker T. Arafat: the Biography. London. Pergamon Press. 2003. 78 p..

Journals/Periodicals/Collections:

Press:

Sequentially indicate the author's last name, the first letter of the name, the title of the article in italics, the name of the journal in italics, the place of publication, the year, the number. For example 

    1. Hayrapetyan S. "Tumanyan's Quatrains: Longings of the Soul". Literary newspaper. Yerevan: 2005: N 18:

In the same way, refer to Latin and Slavic press articles.

 

Theses and dissertations:

Sequentially indicate the last name of the author of the thesis or dissertation, the first letter of the name, the title of the material in quotation marks, the place of defense, the year and the page in brackets. For example:

1. Poghosyan N. "The Study of the Armenian Genocide Problem by R. Lemkin." (Ph.D. thesis, Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, 2017: p. 210).

In the same way cite Latin and Slavic theses and dissertations.

Electronic Source:

List the author's last name, first letter of the name (if any), title of the article (if any), web address and last access time. For example:

1. Մարգարյան Ն. Բասենի բարբառը http://shsu.am/media/journal/bovandakutyun.htm  (դիտվել է 08.11. 2022):

If the author's surname and name and the title of the material are not available, then cite in the following way:

20. After the list of literature in the original language, write References and present the list of used literature in the English version, in the same order as in the list of literature in the original language. In References, it is necessary to write the last name of the author of the article, the first letter of the name, then the English translation of the title of the material (monograph, article, etc.), then give the equivalent transliteration translation of the material in italics in brackets [ ], after which, other information about the material again in English in language: name of periodical or collection, place of publication, year of publication, number of pages. At the end, indicate in parentheses which language the material is in. For example: 
1. Porphyrogenitus Konstantine. About the management of the empire, tr. by G.G. Litavrina, A.P. Novoseltseva [Ob upravlenii imperiyey. Per. G.G. Litavrina, A.P. Novosel'tseva]. Moscow: “Nauka” publ. 1991. 260 p. (in Russian).
2. Muradyan P. Georgian Inscriptions of Armenia [Hayastani vrats’eren ardzanagrut’yunnery], Yerevan: “Gitutyun” publ., 1977. 300 p. (in Armenian).

  • If the original source, monograph or article used is in Latin, then in the References section, write it in the same way as in the literature list.
  • For transliteration, you can use the website translit.net.
21. One line below the  References, write information about the author/s: scientific degree, title, position, place of work, place of residence, country, e-mail address. personal code on the orcid.org website in Armenian, English and Russian languages.
22. Present the references in the text in square brackets, indicating the number of the given work from the list of literature: [1, page 15]. If there are two or more references, then refer as follows: [3, page 20. 6, page 2].
23. Form references in English articles as follows [3, p. 20]. If there are two or more authors in the same reference, then as follows: [3, p. 20; 6, p. 2].
24. References in case of Russian articles should be made as follows [3, с. 20]. If there are two or more authors in the same reference, then as follows: [3, с. 20; 6, p. 2].
25. Number the pages of the article from the bottom in the center.
